Senior Capstone Project

The Earth Systems Senior Capstone Project allows students to undertake projects meant to encapsulate, augment, and complete their experiences as Earth Systems majors. The requirement encourages students to develop projects both informed by their passions and that will enable them to take the next step in their learning, as well as springboard them into their lives post-Stanford. The Capstone project provides an opportunity for students to build new skills, combine their interests in a way they haven't yet done at Stanford, work with community partners, and create a tangible deliverable.
Please note: Students who pursue the Earth Systems Honors Program and write an Honors Thesis will not need to complete the Earth Systems Capstone Project.
