Nancy is described by her nominator as being “one of the most selfless and driven people I know.” If this accolade doesn’t speak enough to her public service scholarship, we don’t know what will. Nancy worked on the Stanford farm organizing an event called “Free the Land” which focused on environmental justice in agriculture and black, indigenous, people of color agroecology and fundraised for Black Earth Farms. She has also worked as the leader of Stanford Food Recovery, volunteers on the weekends to work with Black Earth Farms, and is involved with activism through Columbae. She has dedicated her time at Stanford towards equitable, inclusive, and sustainable changes on Stanford’s campus and beyond.
