Manisha Rattu (B.S. '19, M.S. '20)

Manisha’s dedication to public service has defined her academic ambitions during her time before, during, and after Stanford. Her passion in the classroom for elevating student voices and prioritizing student needs during her coterm year has been very clear, with one student saying: “Manisha is probably the most caring and understanding TA I’ve had at Stanford.” Manisha began her journey into grassroots advocacy at the age of 16 when she campaigned and successfully halted the crude oil company WesPac’s project in her hometown. Since then, she has also organized around the misrepresentation of Asian American voices in California textbooks and the lack of diversity in green spaces. We have no doubt that her can-do attitude is going to change the world.
