Tierra Baird '23

Tierra is Oglala/Sicangu Lakota and Dine. She comes from the Mila Yatan Pika Okolakiciye, Baird, Iron Cloud and Garnenez families. She calls Pahin Sinte her community and home. Tierra is an Earth Systems major with a concentration in Land Systems. She’s have had the pleasure of working as a Stanford Powwow Committee member, Stanford American Indian Organization’s Students of Color Community Liaison, working in the Justice For Muwekma student activism group, and being a student leader in Native Plants Garden. She is currently a Lakota Children’s Book Creator and serve as a board member on the Mila Yatan Pika Pte Oyate (Knife Chief Buffalo Nation) organization.
